Unwritten Rules Encyclopedia
Shopping, driving home, even being at school can be dangerous for Black people.
After reaching a tipping point with the death of George Floyd, among other horrific crimes and blatant racism towards Black people in the U.S. in recent years, myself and a network of colleagues teamed up to bring awareness and share stories, educational resources and ways to support the Black community.
Over the course of 7 months of dedication outside of working hours, we developed the Unwritten Rules Encyclopedia, a website and social media presence listing out the most common unwritten rules Black people live by to keep themselves safe. This project has been featured on Adweek, The Dallas Observer and Brand & Culture.
